This Cookie Policy explains how Elevate Market Intelligence Limited (company number 16329736, registered office 6 Lucky Lane, Exeter, EX2 4UJ — "Elevate", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies across elevatemi.co.uk and all of its subdomains, including closethegap.elevatemi.co.uk, analytics.elevatemi.co.uk, chatwoot.elevatemi.co.uk and cms.elevatemi.co.uk (together, the "Sites"). It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as pixels, tags, local storage and software development kits, which work in comparable ways. In this policy we refer to all of these as "cookies".

Cookies may be set by us ("first-party") or by third parties whose services we use ("third-party"). They may be "session" cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or "persistent" cookies, which remain until they expire or you delete them.

2.1 We use strictly necessary cookies because they are essential to operate the Sites — for these we do not need your consent.

2.2 For all other cookies — analytics, performance, functional and marketing — we ask for your consent through our cookie banner when you first visit, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR. These cookies are only set after you accept them.

2.3 You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the cookie preferences control on the Sites (see section 6). Withdrawing consent does not affect cookies already used while consent was in place.

3. Categories of cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies keep the Sites working — for example routing and load balancing, security and bot protection, preserving your session and sign-in, remembering your cookie choices, and supporting our content management system. The Sites will not function properly without them.

Analytics and performance cookies help us understand how visitors use the Sites — which pages are viewed, how people navigate, and where things can be improved — so we can make the Sites better. We use product and web analytics for this.

Functional cookies enable extra features and remember your preferences, such as our live chat / messaging widget.

Marketing and advertising cookies help us measure and improve our advertising and understand which campaigns lead people to us, including through advertising-platform pixels and conversion measurement.

4. The main cookies and technologies on our Sites

The main providers we use are set out below. Specific cookie names and lifespans can change as these services are updated; the descriptions below reflect how we use them.

Elevate (first-party) — strictly necessary. Session, sign-in, security, and remembering your cookie preferences across the Sites and our content management system.

Cloudflare — strictly necessary. Content delivery, security and bot / denial-of-service protection.

PostHog, served via analytics.elevatemi.co.uk — analytics and performance. Product analytics that show how visitors and users interact with the Sites and tools.

Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics — analytics and performance. Tag management and website analytics and reporting.

Chatwoot, at chatwoot.elevatemi.co.uk — functional. The live chat / messaging widget so you can talk to us.

Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API — marketing and advertising. Measuring and improving our advertising and understanding which campaigns lead people to us.

Where a third party sets cookies through our Sites, that third party also processes the data under its own privacy and cookie policies. Our analytics and marketing partners may use the data they collect for their own purposes as described in their policies.

5. Cookies across subdomains

Our products and tools run on subdomains of elevatemi.co.uk. Your cookie preferences are intended to apply across the Sites, but some tools (for example Close the Gap) have their own functionality and may set additional cookies needed to operate. Where a subdomain or tool has product-specific terms, those apply to your use of that tool.

6.1 On our Sites: use the cookie preferences control to review your choices and turn non-essential categories on or off, or to withdraw consent.

6.2 In your browser: most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may stop parts of the Sites from working. Guidance is available in your browser's help pages.
